The great Persona 5 best girl debate has yet another contender.

You may remember the announcement of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, an upcoming spin-off that replaces the series' snappy turn-based combat with Dynasty Warriors-style 3D brawling. The reveal trailer showed a mysterious girl who's now been revealed as the latest member of the Phantom Thieves.

Meet Sophia, AKA Sophie, a yoyo-wielding amnesiac that joins the gang after they get wrapped up in an incident set a year and a half after the original game's summer vacation ending. It appears that she plays an important role in the story but hopefully she can be romanced; that Eve from Wall-E-esque hoodie and those floating heart things are kinda cute. Assuming the new game will retain the ability to romance team members, that is.

The OG Phantom Thieves will all be playable, but it's interesting that we don't see Persona 5 Royal's new girl Kasumi anywhere. Maybe that game's expanded story is a different continuity, so it's a shame we might not see the two new redheaded waifus in the same scene. But like Kasumi, Sophia will have her own slew of Rule 34 content in a matter of time.
